Alphabet Soup Child Care Center (Alphabet Soup)
Alphabet Soup is a childcare program, owned and operated by The Fogarty Center,
which provides early childhood education for children six weeks to five years of age
within Infant, Toddlers, Preschool and Pre-K settings and classrooms. Hours of
operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Located at 2 Volturno Street, Alphabet Soup is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the developmental milestones of each age group. By employing the philosophy of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports for Children, Alphabet Soup teachers and other personnel work closely with families to recognize, reinforce and promote positive social and emotional development.
Alphabet Soup is licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families. Children with special needs are included within all classrooms and are referred through Early Intervention as well as the North Providence School district. Alphabet Soup is also a certified Kids Connect provider and accepts referrals through the CEDARRS program. Enrollment includes children from surrounding communities as well of those of Fogarty Center employees.
Pawtucket Day Child Development Center (PDC)
Effective September 1, 2009, The Fogarty Center assumed management responsibilities for the PDC, located at 25 Thornley Street in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. PDC is the oldest childcare program in Rhode Island, with a history of providing services to families within Pawtucket for 100+ years.
Today, PDC provides early childhood education for children 18 months to twelve years
of age within Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and School Age settings and classrooms. Hours
of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
PDC is licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families. Enrollment includes children from surrounding communities as well of those of PDC employees. PDC offers financial assistance to families in need, residing within Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
